Earlier in the week, we had reported that some users of Live Messenger on Windows Mobile have begun to see trial messages (http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=4927) on their devices, after which they must sign up for a subscription plan to continue using Live Messenger. As it turns out, MobilitySite (http://mobilitysite.com/2008/01/update-windows-live-messenger-30-day-trial/) has an update from Microsoft, and this is not the case. Microsoft was only going to do the trial with S60 users in Sweden. Windows Mobile should not have been affected.
