We had reported earlier on the Samsung i900 (http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=4960) Windows Mobile Professional phone with a 5 megapixel camera. Unwired View (http://www.unwiredview.com/2008/01/24/samsung-i900-5-mpx-wm-61-smartphone-confirmed-sort-of-available-in-september-2008/) is reporting that MobiFrance (http://www.mobifrance.com/news/2008-01-22/id10863/A-quoi-pourrait-ressembler-le-Samsung-i900--Sa-disponibilite-Septembre-2008/) has received confirmation that the touchscreen phone will be coming in September 2008.

Below, a mockup is shown on what the device is expected to resemble. Specs for the device could be found here (http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=4960).

An announcement is expected at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona soon.

Interesting, because PhoneMag reported yesterday that the Samsung i900 would not run Windows Mobile (http://www.phonemag.com/samsung-i900-does-not-run-windows-mobile-01503.php#more-503). (See the pictures at the link.)

I wonder who's right. Maybe both if only the device was confirmed, but not the OS.

Definitely doesn't have hardware buttons to imply Windows Mobile.

Definitely doesn't have hardware buttons to imply Windows Mobile.

It has the same amount of buttons (at least on the front) as an HTC Touch. Phone start and end.

Well, from what I've read, there will be two variants. One with Samsungs OS and one with WM6.
