Because of bot registrations and spam storms from guests, I've turned on Human Verification for new user registrations and guest posting. You'll now be presented with one of those annoying Captcha images when you register or post as a guest. This should allow us to keep the News forum open to posting by guests.

If you have any problems (especially if you're vision impaired), please contact a moderator. (You can contact me by visiting my site and using the Contact page.)

I've also changed the Reviews permissions to allow unregistered users to reply to reviews now (on the Home page, a guest can't really tell the difference).

We'll see if this cuts down bot registrations and guest spam storms. If it does, maybe we can make the Support Center forums unmoderated again.

Bless you sir.
Thanks, but it's just a trial for now. On my forum, I get bot registrations even with image verifications. I tend to clean many of those up here before they can post, so I'm hoping this will stop the spam storms. (I also upped the flood contrrol to 60 seconds from 30, but I'm not confident that will work. The last idiot got some 190+ posts in during the same minute.)

And thank Brandon (or his minions) for installing vBulletin 3.7, too. :)
