View Full Version : Upgrade scheme stinks!!

I have been a (registered) user of Dashboard for some time now, and I am overall quite impressed with the program. However, the upgrade scheme that Snoopsoft has decided to use is horrible. I was out of the country for an extended period of time when the last (two) updates were released, and as the links to the upgraded programs are only valid for two weeks, I am unable to download the latest versions. It appears that this is fine with Snoopsoft, as my emails requesting the latest versions have gone unanswered. I find this to be quite unacceptable. I could have downloaded a warez version of the program (quite available), but I felt the program was worth the $13 to register, and I still do. It's unfortunate that Snoopsoft can't be bothered to respond to those registered users that were unable to obtain the latest releases of a program that they paid for. Maybe it's time to try StarTap....

Hi Dave,

I can understand your frustration with this, but keep in mind that Dashboard currently implements no form of piracy protection. Perhaps it's time that I look into that and keep the downloads open for all.

I try my best to get back with all users requesting redownloads in a reasonable timeframe, however it takes a very large amount of time to do so because I have to verify each request against the registered user list and not everyone writes to me with their registered email address or sends along proof of purchase.

In this instance, I am unable to locate your email which means one of two things - either I never received it, or I received it and responded and it didn't make it back to you for some reason. Please resend your request directly to me at the email address on the update notice and I will get you the information that you need.

Thanks!
