Dashboard+alarme= not working "Alarm Me"??

i was using alarm me pretty fine til i installed Dash Board. Ever since then, alarm me can no longer perform the job of "alarming"! it would only have pop up window, aside from that, the most important function "sound alarm" ain't working anymore. is there any solution to this?
