I've been following this column in hopes that I'd discover something here that I'd not run into myself previously. And though I'd been aware of Visual CE, this was the first good review I've seen.

Must say I was all but hooked until I got down to the point of only being able to sync with one Acess db. Bummer! This looked like it had so much potential.....but that is a *SERIOUS* limitation, IMO.

Conceivably, I guess one could create 1 big Access db to sync with VCE and then create however many needed db's in Access utilizing the 'Linked Tables' process to break things down into smaller, more appropriate chunks. But that sure seems like way more work than a user should have to go through for a product priced in VCE's range.

Looks like I'll be waiting for DDH Software to release HanDBase 3.0 and/or ThinkingBytes to release the PocketPC version of ThinkDB before making any moves.

You're right. This was very disappointing...

This synchronization issue was a huge problem, and its something that I've been trying to get Syware to address. They said it was possible, but would require a lot of work and may not be the easiest thing to configure.

Honestly, I don't care. If they can take the time to code it, I can take the time to configure it. But I think that's the crux of the whole issue. I'm not sure they want to take the time to code it, which is even more disappointing than VCE not synchronizing to more than one database...
