Are you going to update the dashboard skin wisbar control code so that it can work with the new wisbar beta 5 from http://www.pelmarinc.com beacuse it has two new icons, a mute button and a tap and hold icon. currently there is no way to specify what images to use for these and thay have to be set manually.

Also, do you know if or when a new version of the skin me dashboard skin editor will be coming out that supports the changes in dashboard and the new wisbar ?

Thirdly, in the skin editor there is a way to change the font size and weight of the date and page title, but the changes dont show up in the skin on my Jornada. Is there a fix for this on the way?

Thanks,
Alan

I think it would be great if your product worked with pelmar's wisbar. That's how I currently use them, and I love the combination of the two.

If I remember correctly this program is not done by Snoopsoft. It is a third party application that was written to assist in Skin development. You might want to do a search for Skin Me to see if they developer plans any changes.

Hi,

I've asked them, we'll see if they'll give us the hooks we need to make it all work.

Thanks!

I know that it not made by snoopsoft, but there dosent seem to be any activity on their web site, so i thought that Chris could possibly provide some information about it.

Chris,

There are two new Wisbars. The other is call ICbar at
http://www.ictinus.com/icbar.

I think it is actually better than the one from Pelmarinc. You may want to contact them as well and evaluate both.

Thanks
John

This address seems to go nowhere!

That's the address, but the link does not work on my computer either. Try typing it into your address bar. If that does not work then try www.ictinus.com, and once there add the /icbar.

It is really a good update to Wisbar.

Hope this helps.

www.ictinus.com doesn't seem to work either. Can you send me the file? I'm at rebecker@awardsone.com.

That tells me nothing, because that page has been like that for months.

Does dashboard and pelmar's wisbar 1.1.0 still work together regarding skins for wisbar?

When I changed themes before while using 1.0.4, the wisbar skin would change automatically. Now it no longer does. I may be missing a setting in wisbar 1.1.0 to make it work again.

Hi,

Yes, I've tested this out and it works fine. Make sure that Dashboard is setup to change the wisbar skin by going into the Dashboard Options dialog and setting the 'Allow Skin to Alter Bar Apps' option on the General tab.

Thanks!

Kind of gives you confidence, doesn't it. I'll stick with Pelmar. It's simple, fast, trouble-free. They've done a nice job with it.

Hi,

Ok, I've started looking into the Pelmar WISBar integration and it looks like the speaker icon is already integrated in the current version of Dashboard... You can set it directly with the 'MenuIcon' tag. The default Dashboard skins (blue and green) both have icons for it, but they're not volume related... :)

It appears simple to add in the mute support and change the tag name for the normal volume so I'll go ahead and get those in for the next update and check with Pelmar to make sure I've got them all covered.

Thanks!

Try vBar, yet another WIS Bar derivative that takes different approach. It works with PPC2002 Notification by the way.

:) Thanks John.

Chris,
What would be required to get Icbar compatability for Dashboard?

If you need anything from me, just ask.
I've emailed the Skin Me people, but no reponse just yet.

Cheers,

Hi,

I just need your tag information - or what is different from the original WISBar stuff. Email me at icbar@snoopsoft.com and we can make this work for you.

Thanks!
