GControl

What it does

If you have one of the newer HTC phones (Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch HD), you have an accelerometer or motion sensor built in. GControl is a freeware application that will allow you to mimic the key presses on your directional pad--up, down, left, right--merely by tilting the device. This will allow you to scroll through webpages and long lists without having to use the directional pad or on-screen scroll bars.

Since I don't have one of the HTC devices with an accelerometer, I do not know which applications or programs this works in. If it works in most games and programs, this freeware has the potential to revive the Windows Mobile gaming platform in a way similar to the iPhone. However, Windows Mobile will get both hardware and accelerometer control, instead of just the tilt control on the iPhone.
